Pet Policy + Registration Form

In accordance with Red Haus Bylaws, owners and tenants are required to register pets residing on the property.

The following Pet Policy was passed by the Board of Directors as of November 30, 2016 and is effective January 1, 2017. The Pet Registration Form must be submitted below prior to the animal’s residence on the property.

Red Haus by-laws are clear regarding the Powers of the Corporation and the Duties and Responsibilities of the unit owners when it comes to Pets. Please review the following sections of the bylaws for CCN #0514332 so that you are familiar with your pet-related responsibilities and restrictions:

Terms and Conditions:

  • Pet Policy was effective January 1, 2017, which includes all new and pre-existing pets. For new animals, Pet Registration is required before the pet resides on the property. Pets found to be unregistered will result in a $250 fine to the unit owner.

  • The pet shall not be allowed on the Common Property unless it is on a leash or contained in a cage, carrier and in the care, custody, and control of a responsible person.

  • The pet shall not be permitted to urinate in or on planters, shrubs, flowers, trees, or any of the lands at the Red Haus complex. The pet shall also not be permitted to urinate/defecate on exclusive use areas, including balconies/patios.

  • The owner shall be responsible for the immediate and sanitary disposal of all excrement originating from the pet at Pet Stations only, Please Do Not dispose in garbage bins, if caught, it will result in a fine to the unit owner.

  • The pet owner shall ensure that the pet does not cause or create a nuisance of any kind to other residents.

  • The unit owner shall be responsible for all costs associated with all damage or destruction caused, directly or indirectly, by the pet to the common, managed, or exclusive use property.

  • If the Corporation, in its sole and absolute discretion, deems any pet to be a nuisance, the Corporation may require the owner to remove the pet from the premises.

  • Failure to apply or any breach of this policy will be subject to a fine in the amount of $250.00 per occurrence.

  • Visiting or non-permanent pets (exceeding 72 hours on the property) also require registration.
