Inviting All Red Haus Dog Owners
Let’s Cultivate Pawsitive Condo Living Together
Attend a Free 90-Minute Dog Training Session for Helpful Licks & Tricks

Hosted by Red Haus Corporation and led by certified dog trainer, Groundwork Dog Rearing, you and your dog are cordially invited to learn and practise desirable condo behaviour in a “pawsitive” and constructive space. All dogs and their owners — perfect, or not — are encouraged to join. This will be a fun, interactive event on Red Haus property.

Though Red Haus is “dog friendly,”all residents (“dog people” or not) are entitled to feel safe and secure on our property. Respect for all residents is paramount and the onus falls on you, the pet owner, to ensure your dog behaves in a perpetually quiet, calm and respectful manner in-and-out of your suite.

We are proactively offering this FREE training session for Red Haus dog owners to impart actionable training tools for Red Haus dog owners, to support your responsibility in maintaining harmony between yourself, other dogs owners, and non-dog owners. All pets must be registered with the Corporation, here.

CLUB HAUS LOUNGE
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14
6:30-8:00PM

Agenda:

  • 6:15PM Check-In, Club Haus lounge (WITHOUT your dog)

  • 6:30PM Training Seminar (WITHOUT your dog)

  • 7:00PM 15-Minute break (to return WITH your dog, weather dependant)

  • 7:15PM Training Demonstration

  • 7:45PM Q&A

  • 8:00PM Wrap up

Training Objectives:

  1. Barking — we address causes, triggers and solutions to reduce barking (and general insecurity) in your home, from your balcony, and in and around common property;

  2. Hallway Etiquette — learn to pass fellow residents politely on common property like in hallways, stairwells and elevators. Hint: You should ALWAYS be between your dog and a fellow resident.

  3. Fear and Aggression — towards fellow residents and furry friends. Training a reactive dog to be non-reactive can hard work, but everything is possible with effective tools and consistency. Problematic dogs can be forcibly removed from the property, so the onus is on you — the owner — to manage challenging behaviours, especially when you have choosen to share close quarters with others.

Please register below. We will meet in the Club Haus (without your dog) for the initial training seminar. If the weather is nice, you will return with your dog, and we will practise techniques learned together outside. If the weather is poor, our trainer will deliver a demonstration in the Club Haus with her own dog pack. All content covered will be provided in a digital training package following the session.

In accordance with Red Haus bylaw and building code compliance (largely sound-proofing), your renovation plan requires Board approval prior to work commencing.

Approval is swift and easy. Simply complete and submit the Renovation Form first HERE.

Multiple units have recently proceeded with renovations prior to Board approval and will now face costly fines. If you see or hear renovations happening, please contact the Maintenance Manager accordingly.
